Terms of Service

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You’re responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old. If you’re registering on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these terms.

TradeMaster Pro is sold on monthly or annual subscriptions, billed through Stripe. Pricing on the pricing page is current; we reserve the right to change prices for new subscribers, but we won’t change the rate of an existing subscriber without 30 days’ notice. “Founder pricing” subscribers — the first cohort, locked in at signup — keep their tier’s founder rate as long as their subscription remains active.

We offer a Free plan that does not expire. No card is required to use it. The Free plan is capped at 5 active projects and 10 one-off invoices per calendar month; recurring invoices are exempt from the cap. AI features require a paid plan. You can upgrade at any time, and cancel any time through Stripe’s billing portal; cancelled subscriptions stay active until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. We’re reasonable people running a small business — email feedback@trademastercalc.com if something went sideways.

When you connect a Stripe account through TradeMaster Pro, your customers’ payments are processed by Stripe and routed directly to your Stripe account. We take an application fee (currently 0.5% per transaction) deducted at the moment of payment. Standard Stripe processing fees (currently 2.9% + $0.30, plus a 0.25% Express Connect fee) are paid by your Stripe account.

You are the merchant of record for transactions with your customers. Chargebacks, disputes, refunds, and customer service related to those payments are your responsibility, not ours. We provide the software; you run the business.

You agree to comply with Stripe’s Connected Account Agreement when you connect your Stripe account.

You won’t use TradeMaster Pro to:

• Violate any law or regulation
• Send spam, deceptive marketing, or unsolicited bulk email through our platform
• Process payments for goods or services that violate Stripe’s prohibited business categories
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to interfere with the service
• Resell, sublicense, or use the service to compete directly with TradeMaster Pro
• Upload malware or attempt to compromise the system

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you’re violating any of the above.

You own the data you put into TradeMaster Pro — customers, quotes, invoices, time entries, photos, everything. We store and process it on your behalf. You can export everything to CSV at any time through Settings → Export.

We grant ourselves only the rights needed to operate the service: storage, replication, backup, the ability to display data back to you and to people you grant access (your crew, your customers via public quote / invoice links). We don’t use your data to train AI models, sell to advertisers, or run analytics on your business. See our Privacy Policy for details.

If you cancel your subscription, your data is retained for 90 days so you can export it or reactivate, then permanently deleted.

The owner-only AI assistant uses Anthropic’s Claude API. Your prompts and the data we send to provide context (your customers, projects, AR aging, etc.) are processed by Anthropic but are not used to train their models, per Anthropic’s API terms. We may log AI chat history for debugging and abuse prevention.

The AI is a tool, not infallible. Don’t rely on it for legal, tax, financial, or licensed-trade advice. Verify important information.

We aim for high uptime but make no formal SLA at this tier. The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We’re a small team and will work to fix issues quickly when they happen.

TradeMaster Pro, the software, design, branding, and calculators are owned by Jbrewer LLC. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service while your subscription is active. You don’t get any rights to our trademarks or source code.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to TradeMaster Pro is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — lost profits, lost business opportunities, etc.

Specifically, we’re not responsible for: payment disputes between you and your customers, errors you make when entering data, miscalculations from trade calculators (always verify against your local code and project specifics), or downtime affecting your business operations.
