The only caps are 5 active projects and 10 one-off invoices per month. Recurring / auto-billed invoices don’t count against the cap, so service businesses (lawn care, pool, cleaning) can run unlimited recurring on Free. Solo is $25/mo founder pricing and removes those caps, plus turns on the AI assistant. Platform fee on Free is 1.0%; on every paid plan it’s 0.5%. Free signups skip the trial — just start using it.

The only difference between tiers is the number of crew seats. No feature gates, no “upgrade to unlock,” no hidden Connect-tier-only features the way Jobber does it.

The first cohort of paying subscribers keeps their tier’s founder rate forever. If you sign up at $25/mo Solo today and upgrade to Team in two years, you pay $49/mo Team (the founder rate) — not the $99/mo standard rate that new subscribers will pay. No. You can mark invoices paid manually for cash, check, or e-transfer. Stripe Connect is what unlocks customers paying you online with a card — recommended but optional. You can connect Stripe at any time, including months after signing up.

Directly to your Stripe account, not ours. We use Stripe Connect Direct Charges, which means the customer is charged on your Stripe — your name on the statement, your chargeback responsibility, your payout schedule. The platform fee deducted at payment is 1.0% on the Free plan and 0.5% on every paid plan; the rest is yours.

TradeMaster Pro doesn’t replace QuickBooks. It runs the actual job — quotes, invoices, crew, calculators, photos — and exports clean CSVs (payroll, expenses, invoices) you paste into QB or hand to your bookkeeper.

Yes. Crew members see only the jobs they’re assigned to, clock in and out, log expenses, and upload jobsite photos. They never see customer revenue, AR, hourly rates (their own included), other crew’s hours, or any pricing. The owner sets each crew member’s rate; the system stamps it on their time entries server-side.

Owner-only feature, included on every paid plan (Solo and up). Free plan users see the upgrade prompt when they try the AI features. Powered by Anthropic’s Claude Haiku 4.5. Anthropic does not train on data sent through their API — neither do we. It’s a productivity tool for you, not a robot we’re trying to sell to your customers.

We don’t track your business operations. The marketing side of the site (this page, the landing page, signup, free calculators) uses Vercel Analytics for traffic counts — cookieless, no personal data, just pageview totals so we know which posts are driving signups. The moment you log in, all third-party tracking stops. No autocapture of clicks inside the app, no recording of customer names or invoice amounts, no scripts following you around your workspace. Your customers using public quote / invoice / change order links aren’t tracked either. The only data we collect from inside the app is what the app needs to run — your account info and the records you create. Export everything to CSV any time.

TradeMaster Pro is installable as a Progressive Web App on iPhone, Android, and desktop. Basic read access works offline once you’ve loaded the app. Real-time features (Stripe payments, push notifications, AI chat) need a connection.

Today: an installable PWA — open the site on your phone and tap “Add to Home Screen.” Native app store wraps are on the roadmap once we cross 100 paying users. The PWA already supports push notifications, camera capture, and offline-cached views — most users find they don’t miss the native wrapper.

Yes. CSV import wizard with header presets for Jobber, Joist, QuickBooks, and Google Contacts. Upload, map columns (auto-detected for those four), preview a dry-run, then commit. Dedupe is automatic on email.

No, intentionally. Every contractor SaaS sells GPS tracking as a premium feature; almost no contractor uses it because crew hate it and the legal compliance is a mess. Crew clock in and out via the app — that’s it.

Yes. Per-invoice toggle. When on, the customer’s payment is grossed up to cover Stripe processing + our platform fee, so you net the full invoice total. They see “Includes $X.XX card processing fee” on the pay page. Pay by check instead? They pay the original invoice amount.

For estimating-heavy work, yes. Run a stair calc, rafter calc, joist span, LVL beam, or roof calc — save the result to a project, then add a quote line item using the saved spec as your reference. The numbers come from real IRC tables and material specs, not a back-of-the-napkin guess. Direct calc-to-line-item export (one click from calc result to a priced quote row) is on the near-term roadmap.
